Women and Girls in Humanitarian Emergencies
Mark Lowcock, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator at the United Nations, will discuss how to better assist and empower women and girls in humanitarian emergencies. This public lecture will be followed by a panel discussion, and a question & answer session.

The discussion will be moderated by Nicolas Moyer, CEO of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (CCIC). Mr. Lowcock will be introduced by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development. The lecture will then be followed by a response from Julie Delahanty, Executive Director of Oxfam Canada.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Centre is located at 330 Sussex Drive in Ottawa, between the National Gallery of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mint.
Above-ground parking is available for those who require a handicap accessible parking spot.
For all other visitors, paid parking is available at the National Gallery of Canada at 380 Sussex Drive or at the parking lot behind Notre-Dame Basilica at 385 Sussex Drive.
