Empowering Youth With Pathways to Economic Opportunities

EMPOWERING YOUTH WITH PATHWAYS TO ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES: CELEBRATING SIX YEARS OF YOUTH IN ACTION

Discover and share in an event that will inspire you with what can happen when young people are positively engaged in their own futures. By providing relevant education and appropriate vocational skills training, learn how Youth in Action has made a positive difference in the lives of rural out-of-school girls and boys in parts Africa. By drawing on years of youth livelihood programming, Save the Children has developed a transferrable model to support youth empowerment through learning, skill developmet and economic opportunities.

This one-day event will highlight:

  • Evidence to Action: a discussion on the different pathways through which young people can access livelihoods opportunities.
  • Building Effective Development Partnerships: Explore relationships between civil society, academic and government stakeholders to steer development work and create partnerships at varying levels.
  • Integrating Technology to Drive Impact and Scale:Discover how technology can connect young people to jobs and access more effecient services and support.
  • Using Integrated Empowerment Models to Advance Gender Equality: Learn how Save the Children and other organizations are using evidence-based models to reflect how female empowerment is linked to economic empowerment and the enabling environment
