Advocacy Regulations and the Election

Are you aware of the current regulations on advocacy activities, particularly those that will apply around the election period? CCIC is collaborating with the Climate Action Network CAN-RAC to provide you with an overview of key things you should know when planning your advocacy campaigns.
During this webinar, guest speakers Mark Blumberg (Non-Profit and Charity Law Lawyer, partner at Blumberg Segal LLP) and Dr. John Cameron (Associate Professor at Dalhousie University) will provide an overview of some of the key regulations to be aware of and considerations to keep in mind when advocating around the election. This webinar will not provide legal advice and will not cover all the regulations but will instead aim to provide an overview of the context and will raise awareness around some of the core restrictions that will impact civil society’s work.
Following the webinar, CCIC will host an exchange with its members around upcoming advocacy activities around the Election.
