CCIC is looking for volunteers for their annual conference in Ottawa on September 19th and 20th as well as for their Public Event on the evening of September 19th. Volunteers are required for a minimum of a 3 hour shift, and will in return receive free entry to the conference. The conference is a great opportunity to network and learn about Canada’s position and actions towards feminist policy, gender equality, climate change and Indigenous relations.

Volunteers will help guide attendees to the various breakout-session room locations. They will answer questions about the conference app, hand out programs, and answer all other related questions about the conference (or direct attendees to the right person). Bilingualism would be considered an asset for this position.
Clean-up and room set-up
Volunteers will help with event logistics, including room set-up at the beginning of the event and clean-up at the end of the event.
Volunteers will ensure that food platters are filled and replenished when necessary, and that speakers have access to beverages.
Volunteers will help set-up booths (tables, chairs, tablecloths, etc.) for the public event on the evening of September 19, 2018.
There will be a cash bar at the event which will serve wine, beer and pop. Smart Serve certification is required. Bilingualism would be considered an asset for this position.
Social Media Assistant
Volunteers will assist will live-tweeting the conference and/or public event from CCIC’s official account. Familiarity with Twitter and fluency in French are required for this position.
