CSO DEVELOPMENT EFFECTIVENESS

The Open Forum and the Istanbul Principles

Through the Open Forum process, civil society has developed the International Framework for CSO Development Effectiveness – which includes the eight Istanbul Principles and the minimum conditions for an Enabling Environment to allow CSOs to reach their full potential. The International Framework consolidates the voices of thousands of CSOs heard in more than 80 numerous national, regional and thematic consultations and two Global Assemblies.
