Implement an effective Global Engagement Opportunities (GEO) program in Canada, organize Connections Tours and inspire and engage youth and young adults particularly in the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) in global thinking and kingdom action.


Coordinate the Canadian Global Engagement Program by:

  1. Building support for World Renew and for fields and field staff, in particular by engaging the church community and other constituency groups (e.g. schools and so forth) to maintain existing, and acquire new, global engagements through regular interaction
  2. Developing and growing the Global Engagement Opportunities (GEO) and goals, including intensifying existing, and finding new opportunities for engagement in CRCs, non-CRCs and schools,
  3. Finding, offering and maintaining specific (short-term) project partnerships for churches and schools.
  4. With US GEO staff, planning Connection Tours and other forms of individual staff engagement schedules to maximize the number of churches/groups who receive regular visits from agency staff,
  5. Developing and maintaining an articulated communication plan of the program, such that it promotes and educates constituents (churches and schools), including youth and young adults, in building a deeper relationship with World Renew and its programs
  6. Developing and maintaining a fundraising component of the program through the training of staff and the development of resources and tools, in collaboration with the other CORE team members
  7. Reviewing and developing the annual Global Engagement Canada budget and manage expenses related to field staff Connection Tours and other forms of staff engagement in Canada
  8. Assigning Connection Tours dates for assigned field staff and others via active communication with the field staff, their supervisors and the agency’s Human Resources department
  9. Providing resources and guidance to field staff and others to ensure quality presentations to constituents
  10. Ensuring that churches and schools in partnership with World Renew receive updates from the field
  11. Preparing and ensuring the printing, updating and distributing of profile cards, brochures, photographs and other media

Promote agency and external collaboration by:

  1. Participating in, and contributing to, the strategic development of World Renew’s communication with its constituency to increase knowledge, involvement, prayer and financial support
  2. Collaborating and participating with CRC agencies, committees and taskforces to communicate a united message to constituents, upon request
  3. Collaborating with partners and alliances for mutual benefit to increase World Renew’s exposure to a broader constituency

Develop and implement the Youth and Young Adult Program (YYAE) by:
a.     Developing, implementing and marketing youth and young adult engagement programs in part to enable reciprocal relationships and implementing a coordinated, cooperative and multi-faceted program of youth engagement, in support of World Renew ministries
b.    Developing and assisting with the agency’s relationships with youth- and young adult-focused organizations and actively participating at events, programs and conferences to increase agency interest and engagement
c.    Connecting with and motivating church youth pastors and youth leaders, and campus chaplains to engage youth in World Renew’s current and developing programs and activities
d.    Connecting directly with youth, young adults and congregations through speaking and teaching opportunities, as applicable
e.    Collaborate with other members and sub-teams of CORE

  13. Creatively problem solve related engagement matters for a mutually satisfying outcome among a diverse group of stakeholders


    1. Bachelor’s degree required in business, management, human services or another related field; specialization in youth education, theological education is a definite asset
    2. At least two years of work experience is required, in public relations and/or marketing particularly with international and/or not for profit organizations is preferred
