About the role
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director of ER will enhance MI’s positioning, reputation, and effectiveness as a leading global nutrition organization by taking our marketing, communication and advocacy to the next level. Working across Head Office, Regional Offices, and Country Offices you will:
Strengthen and amplify MI’s ‘voice’ as a global nutrition leader
Lead the development and execution of MI’s government relations strategy
Build and shape MI’s influence at global, regional, and national level
In addition, as a member of the Executive Management Committee, you will oversee ongoing coordination and synergy between ER and other units to ensure overall organizational goals are met and that progress is in line with the 5 year strategic plan.
We are looking for someone who shares our organizational culture of delivering high-impact and cost-effective programs to the world’s most vulnerable. You are a proven leader who is highly skilled in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies. You have extensive experience working for or within the Government of Canada. You are a strategic thinker with a proven track record of linking strategic communications and advocacy efforts that generate concrete results. You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in international development organizations, at least 5 of which is in a senior leadership position, and a post-graduate degree in Public Affairs, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, or another related discipline.
