POSITION: Emergency Roster and Training Coordinator
DURATION: Permanent, Full Time
LOCATION: Ottawa, ON

The Canadian Red Cross Society, a not for profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in Canada and throughout the world, is currently seeking an Emergency Roster and Training Coordinator.

 

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, Roster Maintenance and Training International Operations (IO), the Emergency Roster and Training Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the Canadian Red Cross Delegate Roster. This includes the compilation, updating, and general maintenance of delegate profile and history data related to CRCS delegates as well as administering the Taleo Applicant Tracking System. He/she will also coordinate the emergency alert system for International Operations. The Roster Maintenance and Training Coordinator will also provide administrative support to the IO training function to build the capacity of the roster.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Business Administration or a combination of education and experience that would be considered equivalent.
  • Experience migrating, compiling, manipulating, and merging considerable sized datasets
  • Experience in workforce analytics or data analysis a considerable asset
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in an administrative role, experience working in systems administration
  • Expertise in Excel (macros, pivot and VLOOKUP tables, advanced formulas, charts)
  • Experience in using and maintaining applicant tracking system and/or database, preferably Taleo.
  • Previous experience in candidate sourcing, screening applications, coordinating recruitment processes, participating in interviews
  • Self-learner, high degree of autonomy and proven organizational skills.
  • Fluency (speaking, reading and writing) in English
  • Passion for the humanitarian work

 

WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT

  • Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments and in international context
  • Previous experience in event coordination/ support is an asset
  • Experience in using various social media / online tools (such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.) in addition to leveraging a trusted relationship network
  • Additional language such as French, Spanish or Arabic
