Talent Acquisition Specialist

Do you want to make a difference? Join the world’s largest humanitarian network. The Canadian Red Cross (CRC) Society, a not for profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in Canada and throughout the world, is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for the recruitment of all ICRC Delegates from Canada for International deployment. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will contribute to building and strengthening the ICRC recruitment process and building the ICRC delegate pool.

Embedded in the Canadian Red Cross Talent Acquisition team, you will put your expertise at the service of the various divisions and sub-divisions of the ICRC, ensuring that recruitment takes place in accordance with the relevant guidelines, procedures and ethical rules.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the end to end Talent Acquisition service in line with operational requirements: keeping track of human resources needs, screening candidates' applications, conducting interviews and making recruitment decisions in conjunction with the relevant departments. Finally, you will ensure a best-in-class candidate experience throughout the recruitment process while strengthening the partnership between the CRC and the ICRC by building the ICRC talent pool in Canada.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proven experience (at least 3 years) in full-cycle recruitment using various sourcing channels
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of an applicant tracking systems and databases, preferably Taleo and/ or SuccessFactors
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and networking skills 
  • Self-learner, high degree of autonomy and proven organizational skills.
  • Bilingualism: English and French
  • Passion for the humanitarian work

 

WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT

  • Your not for profit experience abroad, ideally with the ICRC or CRC
  • An experience of reporting within a matrix managed environment with multiple management stakeholders
  • A CHRP designation
