Public Policy Advisor

Canadian Foodgrains Bank

 

Canadian Foodgrains Bank is a partnership of 15 Canadian churches and church-based agencies working together to respond to global hunger.  We are recruiting for a public policy advisor. This is a fulltime, three year term position based in Ottawa, ON.

 

In this role, you will work to maintain and grow an Ottawa presence for the Foodgrains Bank, taking responsibility for networking, and facilitating meetings and influence opportunities for Foodgrains Bank staff and volunteers.  As the ideal candidate, you are a critical thinker with proven networking skills, a good understanding of public policy process, and knowledge of agricultural development.

 

English language fluency is required.  French language fluency, knowledge of food security and humanitarian assistance, and international work experience are strong assets.  Staff in this position are required to support the Christian motivation of the organization and be actively involved in a Christian faith community. 

 

Applicants must be eligible for employment in Canada.
