Workshop on lobbying and advocacy for NGOs

August 27, 2012

CCIC is pleased to offer the EDs/CEOs of our member organizations, as well as their Board Members, the chance to participate in an interactive half-day workshop on advocacy, lobbying and political action in Canada. Facilitated by a team of an advocacy expert and a lawyer (see short bio notes below), this workshop responds to comments received from many of you, during and after our CCIC Annual Forum in May, to the effect that there is a need to clarify some of the confusion and divergent understandings around what charities can and cannot do in this realm. We are confident that this half-day session will prove a valuable input for your high level organizational decision-making processes around advocacy and lobbying activities.

When:

In Ottawa, Sept 25, 2012, from 9 to 2 (with translation into French)

Cost:
$ 180 per participant

To register:
Email Alice Ouedraogo or call 613-241-7007 ext 350 by Friday, August 31.

A minimum of 25 participants is required to go ahead with the workshop, and a maximum of 35 will be accommodated on a first-come first-serve basis.
